Comments: I would appreciate hearing from any Weisbein family surviving in Romania or anyone knowing of the Weisbeins and the town they lived in.
Description: Lupu and Sophie Weisbein left Romania under the auspices of Baron de Rothschild about 1900 and settled in Philadelphia, PA USA. Lupu had served in the Hungarian cavalry as a conscript from Hungarian-occupied Transylvania. A brother, Joseph Weisbein also emigrated about this time.
